Jr. Knights announce name change to
Central Florida Hockey Club
New name, even stronger organization
ORLANDO (March 11, 2017) – Orlando Youth Hockey Association (OYHA), parent organization to Jr. Knights announced a new identity and rebranding that will propel the Club forward as the premier Tier II Travel Hockey program in Central Florida.
Moving forward, the Jr. Knights will be known as Central Florida Hockey Club (CFHC).
The new identity of Central Florida Hockey Club brings with it a long-term vision for the organization and represents our own Club values, beliefs and commitments. CFHC will place a heightened emphasis on skill development and long-term athlete development principles, providing a blueprint for the best possible youth hockey experience and maximizing the potential in each player.
OYHA Club President Greg Heyn commented that he “is excited to announce this new name and new look for the organization. It brings with it our own unique identity that allows our Club to focus on our players’ growth and development while bringing an energy and passion that the Central Florida region is known for.”
OYHA has always and will continue to oversee all aspects of the Club’s hockey activities. As OYHA enters its 30th year of operation, it will continue that great tradition of exceptional player development and coaching and having wonderful families as part of the program.
CFHC will continue to participate in all the same leagues, games and experiences as before, beginning with the 2017 Spring FAHL season.
